Item # LB-CMC-5.5/8 designed to fit CMC PowerLift jack plates. The L Bracket is built in High Quality Aluminum Alloy, Black Powder Coated, includes stainless steel hardware and easy Do-It Yourself written instructions and diagram. CMC Jack Plate installation is nearly always Drill & Tap. If you don’t think you can do this job, take it to someone who can. The L Bracket is designed to put the Transducer Shield and transducer at the correct angle when the boat is in the water.
CMC jack plates are ridged or flat and have large bolt heads protruding out from the jack plate surface. This is why the L Bracket should include 1″ or 1.5″ spacers. Depending on the jack plate (usually manual) height position, the ratchet bolt might hang below the bottom of the jack plate If this applies to your jack plate, it may be necessary to lower the transducer to avoid side signal interference. To do this, simply add an EXTENSION between the L Bracket and Transducer Shield.
A transducer cannot be attached to any of our L Brackets without a Transducer Shield®. When placing your order for this product, please remember to choose the appropriate Transducer Shield® to match your transducer.
To avoid a delay in shipping your order, please complete the questionnaire. The more information you provide the better we can assist you.
IMPORTANT: On Skeeter ZX or FX boats, the hull turning chines interfere with the side viewing signal. To help correct this problem it is necessary to add an extension between the L Bracket and Transducer Shield®. Please remember to add an Extension to your order. Click on Extensions to add an extension to your order.
Typically, a “Side Image” transducer attached to an L Bracket on the side of a jack plate will not track the bottom when the boat is up on plane. To track the bottom when up on plane, an “in hull” transducer is recommended.
Installing Your Transducer Correctly is Important. Contact us if you need further assistance.
